Why won't the Firefox extension believe me when I say I'm in classic mode?
I recently upgraded to Firefox 3 and, by extension, Delicious add-on ver 2.1.018. I'm using it in "classic" mode, but it's not as tidy as the actual classic extension; every ten minutes it repeatedly tries to synch my bookmarks, only to realize -- yet again -- that I have that feature turned off:
[2009/1/25 20:42] nsYBookmarkSyncService.js::YBookmarksSyncService::sync()=> sync invoked:true
[2009/1/25 20:42] nsYBookmarkSSyncService.js::YBookmarksSyncService::sync()=====> Classic mode, No sync.
I really miss the delicious extension version 1.2.1. I think it'd be great if these two extensions could be separated so that those of us who want the smaller version can use it without being bombarded by all these extra features that are just sucking up processing power.

Inappropriate?Thanks for reporting this - we're looking into what might be going on. For now, you might want to try a slightly older version of the add-on, available from here.
The add-on in classic mode is supposed to work almost exactly like the old extension, with no syncing. (It's a bit tough to support two extensions rather than one.) If you prefer, you may be able to make the old one work with Nightly Tester Tools, although I haven't tried that myself.
