Every time i try to launch DL2 it hangs up (beachball) and then crashes shortly there after. I have roughly 700 items in my library at present and these issues didn't start until that number got closer to where it is now. During this entire time and for a while after force quitting there is an insane amount of hard drive activity. I've deleted my preferences and tried running again and still get the same issue. And i'm seriously not in the mood to have to scan all my books in again (already had to after the beta destroyed itself during a power failure). I can't submit a bug report as it crashes during that as well though i've submitted a small army of crash reports to apple.

Would be great to see a native iPhone app. Whether the iPhone acts as a remote version of your library or a standalone version. Camera in iPhone as barcode scanner. Allow additions to library, ability to check in out. Rather than just the .Mac publishing of static info.
I'm using a wireless usb (professional) scanner I rented--a PSC Powerscan). It works great, but doesn't automatically open a new item when I press the trigger on the scanner.
If I hit the Plus-sign first, then scan in, it's fine.
But I was under the impression that it should be working automatically. Doing it this way is really slowing down the operation!
Other than that -- GREAT revision. I have had the library since 1.0, and it's SO much better, faster, easier now.
Hi, what are the chances of having a return of the 'Recently Added' shelf? I found it incredibly useful in DL1, to identify which items didn't get recognised properly, or picked up the wrong artwork (or not at all) - now if I scan in half a dozen items at a time I then have to search the library for them one by one to check on them. Please, please consider bringing 'Recently Added' back. :o)
Add Total $ Value for each category as well as entire collection. You did say the main purpose of this program was for insurance purposes, so include on the bottom border of the program (so it's always visible) a total money amount of my collection, with an easy way to print the entire collection in basic form showing item name, individual price, ISBN and at total value only.
I scanned in some of the Harry Potter books and DVDs and was surprised to hear an eerily whispered "Voldemort" after the actual data was spoken. The first time it surprised me, but it was kind of funny when it kept happening. Love the sense of humor!
I'm running Delicious Library 2.0.2 (v10487). Perhaps I'm missing the obvious, but how do I sort on a field other than Creator or Title (for example, Publisher/Label)? How do I pull up a subset of items by, for example, the text in a Note? Is DL2 a database program or not? I may just be totally misguided.
Upgraded to DL2, after replacing my Hard Disk. I copied from the old Disk whatever it was I needed to show the collection and covers, but now friends I've lent to don't show up - help, I could lose the stuff I lent them! What can I do?
I have an active user of DL1 and try to make DL2 working.
I have observed the following:
The V2.2 is only showing elements that were imported during my first V2.0 trial (which was freezing)but not the items that were introduced in the DL V1 since then.
Very rapidly after starting V2.2, the Imac is repetedly freezing.
I took an activity monitor sample during the freezing. Moreover, I observed that DL was taking 1008 Mb of Memory while using the CPU to 100% while doing nothing. All the other applications started to be extremely slow and Firefox froze once and restarted when I forced quit DL.
I am running Leopard 10.5.4 and running only native apple software while experiencing the problem.
I have a sample taken from the activity monitor at your disposal.
Upon start, Delicious library prompted me with an errormessage as seen above. It was not possible to click on the submit report button, since the application was in a deadlock. Had to force quit it and start over, which worked fine.
I have books from NYC monthly book club so they don't have barcodes. When I searched to add the items manually some were actually found by Amazon, but when I clicked 'add' the book appeared without cover art (the correct cover art for the book club release was shown on Amazon). What might I be doing wrong? Also, I have many books unrecognized by Amazon because they have been long out of print or are not written in English. Is there a way that I can attach cover art to these entries by iSighting the actual cover?
I upgraded to 2.0 yesterday. When I launched it the first time, I got a notifcation that my data was "corrupted" (the data worked FINE in 1.x). A file was placed on my desktop called "Your Corrupt Library - email to delicious @delicious-monster.com". I haven't heard anything yet; any ideas?
I noticed that when selected "Help" in DL2, I appeared to be getting DL1 help. I tried to fix this by deleting my copy of DL1; not I'm not getting any help at all, just a "Help isn't available for Library" message.
I tried downloading DL2 again, but that made no difference. How can I get my help file back?
In addition to the upgrade from DL1 collapsing the genre field to one line, it did the same for features of DVDs. I'm going through and manually cleaning up the features field over 187 DVDs. The process exposes some annoyances, I'm not sure any of these are fixable as bugs, but I figured I'd mention them.
1. Sometime the features field is at the bottom of the first column, sometimes at the top of the second, so for each one I have to scan to find it.
2. Sometimes when it's at the top of the 2nd in view mode and I double-click it, it moves to the bottom of the first column in edit mode, so I have to scan to find it again. This is very annoying.
3. When the field is at the bottom of the first column and I start adding new lines with control-return, as I'm halfway through, the following text appears off the bottom of the screen and I have to scroll to see them. I'd really like some auto-scrolling to keep the entire selected field on screen.
I upgraded to Delicious Library 2 and can no longer customize the list view for some shelfs. It is very odd. A couple of my shelves maintained their ability to customize the view. The rest lost it. I can no longer view the location, series info, etc., on those shelves.
I think it would be great if there'll be some sort of plug-in system in the Library. So users and third parties could create their own plug-ins for searching different resources for data - not only Amazon and not only by EAN. Maybe you can create some kind of SDK for such purpose. After all, Library is a concept of managing data and Amazon is only one way to get it.
