2.3 is out!
Hey everyone! 2.3 is out! Finally! Wheeee!
Launching DL2 should ask you to automatically update to this version. We fixed a ton of bugs, and added help docs (yay!)!

Happy cataloging! And, as always, let me know if you have any questions about Delicious Library :-)

Inappropriate?Sorry to be a party-pooper, but I am still unable to use the released 2.3 version in any way - hangs waiting to update my friends library (Case 166636).
-
Inappropriate?Since I installed the update, my iMac G5 takes forever for DL2 to open. I've walked away at the 10 minute point and it kicks in in about 20 minutes if you leave it alone and don't force quit. I've sent a report to Delicious Library Bugs. Have reinstalled, dumped preferences, but no help.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?egilDOTnet- The 2.3 release wasn't perfect, but it *did* fix a lot of peoples' problems. I'm still not able to reproduce the issue you've been having-- I'm starting to think that it's a bug within the OS (I'm running a newer beta version of it).
One thing to try-- try holding down "shift" while launching DL2. If there's any chance your library is corrupted, that may be able to fix it.
-
Inappropriate?Tchotchke- Hmm.. that doesn't sound good. I wonder if it has anything to do with your database-- Hold down shift while launching DL2 to run the de-corrupt-er, in case that's what's happening. Let me know if that helps any!
-
Inappropriate?Jessie- Tried that, still the same error, and the library is not corrupted according to the de-corrupter. I have some suggestions though:
- Could you provide us with a similar type of tool to or option to bypass updates of friend libraries, or to "null" them out alltogether? Or maybe give us a beta version that logs all calls that are done when the mobileme update thing is happening so that I can report that back? -
Inappropriate?egilDOTnet- I seem to remember Fred "Genius" Duck finding a workaround to this right? Want to make sure I am not ignoring an important problem...
-
Inappropriate?Jessie- That's right, Fred got me to turn off all network connectivity, so that DL did not get stuck looking for my friends MobileMe library upon startup.
