Digital file cataloging
The future is moving away from analogue into a digital future - we have seen this with iTunes, higher storage capacities, and faster internet speeds.
Every piece of media I own resides on my computer or my external storage device.
Wouldn't it be awesome (for you and me) to create a digital cataloging solution for digital media? I'm talking ebooks, Movies, TVShows and Music. The idea would be the same - metadata retrieval from the internet, tags etc... but ability to link to actual files from the shelf.
Used in conjunction with your considered iPhone app, you could be running the place....

Inappropriate?I like the idea, but this is basically what iTunes already does. It doesn't make sense for our app to do exactly the same thing that Apple already does. What would be the benefit of us doing it, in your opinion?
I’m curious

to catalog it of course, otherwise how do we know we have it?
as long as DL2 continues to expand as iTunes expands, then it's covered innit?
