DL 2.3 release still hangs upon launch indefinately
The 2.3 release does not solve the problem of DL hanging while trying to download a friends mac.com content. I reported the error a month ago, and the case does not have any updates on status (case 166636). It is hard rooting for a product you cannot even get to start! Can you please at least tell me if this issue is being looked into?

Inappropriate?Say, what happens if you disable your internet before you open the program? I'm hoping that will let it load, then you could remove the friend at least temporarily so you can use the program a bit.

That worked like a charm. Can't believe I did not try that before. Dropped all net connections, removed my buddy, then readded him back in but turned off update of his library from his .mac account. Voila!
