I tried to sync twice yesterday, both wireless and cable and got the "communications error" at the end of both syncs. I'll try again tonight and see if it works any better. -
Update: I was able to sync 2 out of 3 times when I tried again. I'm hopeful that this will continue to work. -
Inappropriate?I find the use of the iphone/ipod touch app SIGNIFICANTLY more important than the ability to sell on Amazon. And I may be misunderstanding the (strange, and whether it's to sell, or more generally, use the look-up services) Amazon terms, but if it does come down to losing the feature to sell OR the use of the app, I would definitely and happily give up the ability to sell.
I can't stress enough how pleased I am with the app. And just how useful having the ability to look up whether or not I have an album or movie on my iPhone when I'm in a store or not at my computer. This unquestionably raises the value of the Delicious Library app itself, and if this functionality (syncing with the mobile app) is ever removed, I will also discontinue my support and use of the desktop application.
I understand that it may be out of the hands of Delicious Monster, but I would hope they would strive to find some way to maintain the use of the mobile app.
I have the found the mobile app so well designed and executed, it's really a shame that it won't have any support and future development. It's by far(if you haven't noticed) my favorite part about Delicious Library, in fact, when I heard rumors that it was going to come out it is what prompted me to upgrade to DL 2.0.
I hope that there is in fact some way that Delicious Monster will find a way to resurrect mobile development, and if there is any way it's customers to help get around/reverse this ridiculous restriction from Amazon, I hope they will come to light in the near future.
I’m thankful, yet annoyed (w/Amazon)

I have to agree - having my very large library on my phone to carry around with me is the most important thing.
I'd still use the desktop app - and ask DL to then look at various export options so that I could still have the data. Using a webpage just isn't reasonable even with a 3G connection. -
I would definitely agree. Having the iPhone app made DL go from being sort of a novelty desktop app to something extremely useful. Having the ability to check your collection while you're standing in a store trying to remember if you've previously purchased that CD (I have 900 of them!) is the killer iPhone app for me.
