Enable DL2 to duplicate iTunes Audiobook ID3 tags into DL2's Books Library
Recently I ripped my copy of Patrick O'Brian's "Desolation Island" into iTunes in AAC format using Gracenote to fill in the ID3 tags. Then I used Amazon to add the ripped audiobook into DL2's Book Library so I'll be able to locate the AAC files later after they've been archived to disc. That's the same data being created in two different ways!
A nice feature for DL2 that would cut this data entry in half would be enabling iTunes Audiobooks to be duplicated in the Books Library. That way, when I complete the ID3 tags in iTunes for the AAC files, I won't have to go to Amazon to download the data for the Books Library, I can just duplicate the tagged info from iTunes. Once the data is duplicated in the DL2 Books Library, it's easy to add Location in Building info so the files can be located later when they've been archived.
In fact, it would make sense to also do this for music and movies! Make it so the iTunes albums can be duplicated into the DL2 Music Library, then Location in Building info can be added to show where the physical media is stored.

Inappropriate?Audiobooks already *do* show up in Delicious Library 2 (as do movies), so what I think you are saying is you want to be able to modify some of the fields on iTunes items, like "location in building?"
Note that, right now, there's an AppleScript which will take your iTunes items and copy them over into your main collection. That might help a bit with a workaround, but, in general, I think it'd be better to leave iTunes items under the iTunes tabs, and just enable what you want to do with them...

I’m unsure what exactly you want

Inappropriate?Maybe I'm mistaken, but when I add an audiobook to iTunes, it shows up in DL2 under the iTunes Audiobook section but not the Library Books section. So when I delete the audiobook from iTunes it also disappears from DL2. I want it to be duplicated in the Library Books section so it'll remain after it's gone from the iTunes section.
Please let me know where I can get that AppleScript, it sounds like a workaround that does what I need.
I’m gruntled

Just enable "Sample AppleScripts" from DL2's preferences, and it'll show up in the Scripts menu. -
Inappropriate? Is the script "New shelf with selected media"? It works great up to the point where the items appear in a shelf, but they can't be edited or added to the Books Library. Is there a setting or something that will make this work?
I’m disappointed
