Fix for issues related to upgrading to 2.1 - Please Read
For those who had issues when trying to upgrade to 2.1 (and have a 64-bit compatible machine), we have a new 64-bit version of Delicious Library that should fix the issue.
This addresses the issues with "exception thrown", "multiple validation errors", and crashes when trying to upgrade to Delicious Library 2.1.
Everyone with G5s or Intel Core 2 Duo machines should be able to run this 64-bit version on their computer. If you have any issues with it, please post here or email us at support [at] delicious-monster [dot] com.

Inappropriate?Still not working :-(
New error message though:
Operation could not be completed. Due to an internal error (*** - [LibraryCustomMigrationManager destinationInstancesForSourceRelationshipNamed:sourceInstances:] unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x1167e6be0), I cannot upgrade your library file at '/Users/nathanh/Library/Application Support/Delicious Library 2/Delicious Library Items.deliciouslibrary2' from version '2.0' to version '2.1'. Your original 2.0 file has been unchanged, but Delicious Library 2.1 cannot continue.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?Yup. Me too...

Inappropriate? This is a intel only binary, not working on my Quad G5

Inappropriate?A bit of a silly question, but are there any benefits of running the 64 bit version - will it run faster? I've got a Core 2 Duo processor, but am worried this might corrupt my existing library.
-
Inappropriate? The only differences I see between the normal and the 64bit versions are:
- in Activity Monitor it's listed as "Intel 64bit" but its name is "(null)" instead of "Library"
- the item thumbnails are all fuzzy
I was affraid the fuzzy thumbnails meant I had hozed our library (though I had made an archive of the library folder first) but quitting the 64bit DL and firing up the normal version showed the thumbnails - and hopefully the library - to be just fine. -
Inappropriate?@Notary Thanks for that, I think I'll wait until they address those issues. Have you found that the 64 bit version runs faster?
-
not noticeably faster for us, snkhan. -
Inappropriate?Nathan-
Would you mind sending us an e-mail at support [at] delicious-monster [dot] com outlining your issue? Then it will turn into a bug in our system that you can track the status of.
If you do that, then post the FogBugz Case Number in here, otherwise I can file it myself but then you won't be able to view the status =)

Inappropriate?Geoffery -
???
FogBugz? -
Inappropriate? The bug tracking system DL use as mentioned by Jessie before me.

Inappropriate?Fuzzy covers logged at https://delicious-monster.fogbugz.com...

Inappropriate?I can't even get the app to start. Some crazy message about not using a supported architecture. Love when an "update" renders the application inoperable, and it's even better when the error message is completely meaningless
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Geoffrey- Once you send it into our support mail in FogBugz, it's in the system, so it is certainly logged.
Drew- you may be trying to run this version on a machine that doesn't support 64-bit applications. What are your system configurations?
-
Inappropriate?Jessie - I know. The reason I asked was to see if it had already been logged by Notary Sojac. When he mentioned FogBugz with question marks I realised he didn't know what I was talking about and as such it hadn't been logged.

Inappropriate?Hello,
I'm still experiencing issues with this version... I made the last beta update, but It's still impossible to read my database "multiple validations errors, internal errors, etc..." I will send you a mail with all the rapport and bugges I've found.
FRanck
I’m beta tester, but I paid for this!

Inappropriate?I have a ghetto solution to upgrade the library from 2.0 to 2.2.
Go to this URL and download version 10915 (aka 2.0.7).
http://delicious-monster.com/download...
Load your library and export to version 1.5 (File, Export, 1.5).
Move ~/Library/Application Support/Delicious Library 2 away (I renamed it) and put the exported library in ~/Library/Application Support/Delicious Library.
Now download version 11510 and run it. For me it upgraded from 1.5 to 2.2 successfully. It couldn't upgrade from 2.0 directly.
Sadly it forgets some categories - everything except Books, Movies, Music and Game. But it's better than nothing.
