How do I bulk-import items from file list?
Alright, so I've got this huge DivX movie collection, which for the purpose of this question we'll assume consists entirely of legal DVD backups, and I'd like to catalogue them all, so I can search by director, rating, etc.
QUESTION 1:
How do I bulk import my movies folder into DL2? The imported items should be linked to the actual files if at all possible. My collection is rather large, so manually importing and linking them one by one isn't really an option.
QUESTION 2 (for extra credit):
Any way I can import series (again, using DivX files) into DL2 in a way that makes logical sense? (i.e. grouped by series and/or season).
Apologies if this has been asked hundreds of times before – seems like the kind of question that gets asked a lot... even though a few Google searches returned no helpful answers.

Inappropriate?ikea, something like the Import from iTunes script that already exists in the Sample Scripts folder
Unfortunately, I don't believe anything like that exists right now, you would have to create it yourself or get someone, whom for the purpose of this question we'll assume believes your collection consists entirely of legal DVD backups, to create it for you. -
Inappropriate?n answer to the second part, you may have to do this maually if the dats is not available in any form, but I guess it probably is (as lng as it's accurate) but generally series are named in a "standard" format like
Series name [Episode Title] SxxEyy
where xx is the series number as a 1 or 2 digit number, and yy is the episode number in that series. The above named script could create that information in DL2 if ti was provided. -
Inappropriate? Thanks, Stu. I'm now 90% of the way there. All I need to find out now is how to get DL2 to tag my movies with supplementary Amazon info once they're already in my library. But I'll save that for another question.
