List View Doesn't Remember Position
When I switch from Library/Movies in "List" mode to a Shelf view with few titles so that there is no scroll bar, then back to the Library/Movies view, the list is displayed from the beginning, not where I last was.
For example, imagine I'm scanning through the "Movies" portion of my Library, in "List" mode, with my screen displaying the middle 20 entries of 200. I switch to the shelf "Favorites" to make sure an item I just altered details on is in that shelf, see that it isn't, so I switch back to the "Movie" view to add it. The screen now displays the beginning of the list, the first 20 entries, instead of remembering the position the list was at before I switched. Frustrating.
I know that, if I had an item selected, I could arrow up or down to get the view to return to the point of selection, but this is an imperfect solution. I also know that position *is* remembered for "Icon" mode, but that's a much slower (and inefficient) way to view my titles.
iTunes behaves correctly in this regard; whether or not a particular song in the "Library" view is selected, and no matter how long the Playlist is, if you leave the Library view, and look at a specific Playlist, returning to the Library view displays the exact position you were in before. I'd love to see this functionality correctly reproduced in DL2.
This problem *only* occurs if the Shelf I switch to has few enough titles that they can all be displayed without a scroll bar. If it's a large Shelf, switching between it and the Library view will remember position for both; but once a Shelf is selected that removes the scroll bars, all Shelf and Library positions are forgotten.
Interesting, no?

Inappropriate?Anyone have any thoughts on this? Any DM reps planning on taking a look at this, or is it just too far down the triage list? I know it's minor functionality, and isn't my first-priority fix either, but it'd still be nice to get it resolved...
I've seen it pop up in other, unrelated postings, so I know I'm not the only one... ;-)
I’m curious

Inappropriate? This kind of bug is certainly annoying. It is a bit far own on the triage list, but it's also something I want to fix. If you haven't already, it helps a lot if you send a bug to <bugs@delicious-monster.com> (you can just use our feedback page from our Help menu), as that feeds directly into the system I use to track what I'm working on for each release.
