Localizations in DL 2.3.1b
I saw in the beta release notes that there is a big effort on updating the localizations for the upcoming version 2.3.1.
Great to see that :-)
The current beta still has uneditable compiled .nib though (which is sad) and I also noticed that the fr.lproj simply has no .nib at all, but I guess all that is coming (according to what the release notes imply).
Thanks!
Corentin
PS: the release notes mention that help would be welcome, but fail to provide an e-mail address or link to use... It's not clear either what languages need help and which are already covered too.

Inappropriate?Corentin- I have been working on localizations all week. French is sort of the big one I'm working up to-- we have a lot of emails about our localization, so I will have my work cut out for me trying to figure out how to get all the fixes in without ruining it. I'll probably contact you about this more within the next few days, because I think I really need your input on this localization! Since I don't speak French, I really don't know what's best when it comes to this.
I’m le tired.

Inappropriate?Jessie, I'll be more than happy to help.
If you have a build with regular .nib (not compiled since they cannot be edited), I can even take care of it and send you back a build with the localization inside.
In any case, as I was saying, I'll be more than happy to help in any way I can,

Inappropriate?Corentin- Thanks for the help!!!!!! I just sent you the fr.lproj file-- localize away!
-
Inappropriate?Thanks Jessie.
I just got the project with all the .strings — but no .nib.
Is that expected? -
Inappropriate?Corentin- That should be right. Wil tries to ONLY put text in the actual code so that it is more easily localized, it gets harder when you have to change all the NIBS... have you sent me the file in the email thread?
-
Inappropriate?I see...
I sent you all the files earlier today.
You can trash the .nib in the project then. I understand why you try to do it this way. In a sense, localizers dont have to worry about the layout. On the other hand, they can't do any adjustment either :-\
Let me know if what I sent you is OK,

Inappropriate?Thank you! It usually takes me a couple of hours to go through localizations, so I will have to get to yours after I'm done fending off all of the forum questions :-) Thanks for all your hard work!

Inappropriate?You're welcome Jessie.
