New version v. old
- I actually find the old 1.6 version MUCH easier to use and less sluggish.
- Can't successfully enter upc codes in find.
- what happened to the Recent Import shelf?
- can't adjust new left panels: shelves, friends, etc.
- would like to move bottom panel to right to give shelves bigger look
- can't figure out how to add my own cover art ( new version overall is less intuitive)
- Help menu opens up Help that appears to reference old version and not new one.

1.Version 2 should be MUCH faster than Version 1, so sluggishness is not normal. You can speed it up by disabling syncing with friend's libraries, or, if you have large iTunes collections, unsyncing with iTunes may make it quicker. There is also a bug in 2.0.7 which we're working on right now that causes sluggishness, and we should have a fix out for that in the next couple days.
2. We support EAN, ISBN, and ASIN numbers. To add any of those, click on the Add button (+), select the type of item from the top of the Add panel, and type in the number in the blank field.
3. We removed the Recent Imports shelf in Version 3, but we're thinking of creating something to replace it.
4. Unfortunately you are right, you cannot adjust the things within the left panel.
5. Moving the details panel back to the right is on our list of things to do.
6. Drag an drop any image from your computer, or the web, directly onto the item on the wood-grain shelf panel to replace cover art.
7. Help will be embedded very shortly. I've got a couple hang-ups do to changes we're currently making in the application involving the iPhone application.

Inappropriate?I agree on most of this but I can help with the cover art problem, just drag an image onto the cover on a shelf.

May I make a few respectful suggestions, as somebody who spent 6.5 years working at the interface between usability studies and the technical details of software architecture?
Re: #3, I would consider it a reasonably high priority to get this done; taking away a future that people had been using, without providing an obvious replacement, is just never a good idea. I know we can get similar functionality by adding Creation Date to the columns in the detailed view of the collection, but the Recent Imports shelf was still useful.
Similarly, #4 seems to be a "restore old functionality" issue.
#5 seems like something that would ideally be configurable, similar to how one can configure the Mac Dock or Windows Taskbar to appear in different places around the edge of the screen. (I know that making such things configurable is always harder in practice than it sounds in theory, but still, it'd be nice.)
Re: #6, again, I thought in v1 we could use drag/drop or copy/paste onto the large cover space in the details pane, rather than just into the shelving. -
Inappropriate?Well, drag and drop for cover art is a total pain for me. Why was the paste option removed???? I clean up artwork in Photoshop and I want to just copy and paste it - NOT save it to the desktop, rearrange my windows, find it on the desktop, and then drag it in. Or I copy artwork from an online store and want to just paste it in. This is actually the main reason I went back to version 1.6!
