Ordering of the "Bourne" series of films
Ok I got an odd one. I have three movies:
The Bourne Identity
The Bourne Conspiracy
The Bourne Ultimatum
When sorting by Title, the first film sorts under T for "the", the latter two correctly sort under B. If I remove The from the front so it becomes Borne identity, it sorts under B.
I have a few more that are sorting under T for The as well.

Inappropriate?Hmm. I just did a test on the 2.1.1 machine and the three sorted properly by title (all came before the hit film "The Cat in the Hat Comes Back").
Which ASIN are ye using? -

Ultimatum - B000IOM98Y

Inappropriate?I blame the Dutch.
Remove "Dutch (Original Language)" in language, switch shelves, and now all your Damons are in a row.
Because DL2 sees Dutch as the 1st language, it assumes the movie title is also Dutch and decides to go Dutch with the movies. ("The" not being a Dutch article!)

Inappropriate?I have something similar. In Movies, "The Matrix Reloaded" sorts before "The Matrix" when sorting by Title, A-Z. Why would that be? Adding a space to the end of "The Matrix " sorts it correctly. What's going on? Surely it should be common sense for "Reloaded" to sort after "Matrix", no?
Also, regarding second sorting options: in my Videogames list, by Creator, A-Z, I have several id Software titles. I batch changed Creator for all of them to "id Software" so Creator is identical for each. Nevertheless, they sort thus:
Quake 2; RTCW; Doom 3:RoE; Doom 3; Quake 4 etc. Similarly, my two Electronic Arts titles, "MoH: Underground" and "MoH: Allied Assault" sort in the order I've listed them here.
Surely it would make sense for the default second-sort option after Creator to be Title, no?

I’m confused, frustrated

Inappropriate?A1: What is The Matrix?
A2: Perhaps, but the secondary sort seems to be date of publication.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate? Is your answer A1 a joke? I'm going to assume not. Both "The Matrix" and "The Matrix Reloaded" are DVDs.
As for A2: interesting, and I think you're right. Doom 3: RoE (an expansion pack) sorts ahead of Doom 3 because the Doom 3 purchase was a re-release.
I think this just highlights the need for a customisable second-sort option, though.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate? What are your DVD ISBNs and which country?
