print page layout and setup
I need to be able to change the page layout for printing: specify what fields I want to print, choose between 1,2 or 3 columns, how many items per page, modify the header and footer of the page, etc... This is the only thing that stops me from buying delicious library. The print feature is the most important for me.

Inappropriate? We have someone who is going to be working on a different printing layout, but as we are quite busy with bug fixes and the iPhone application coming out soon, it's taken a back seat to some other important features. However, it is something we do completely plan on implementing in the future.

Inappropriate?I really liked the DL1 take on printing - literally condensed my library to three or four pages. Now takes 26!
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?I just discovered that the printing template can be modified by opening the package contents of the application. This is for advanced computer users with html programming skills only, but at least there is a way of doing it : )
Just modify this file:
Delicious Library 2.app/Contents/Resources/Templates/Print Templates/collectionPrintStyle.libraryprinttemplate
I’m happy i found a way..

Inappropriate?I also discovered that there is another printing template included within the application but there is no way of selecting it.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?3 points:
1) I 100% would like to be able to print out a large image catalogue of all my DVDs: so I can flip through it & choose my movie for the evening!
-- It seems clear that people want more flexibility in what information they can print & what size the images should be. Some people won't want images at all - I originally bought delicious library for home & contents insurance -- images didn't matter then, but now I am expanding my use of the software, I want to print catalogues with images of a size of my choosing. :)
--if people design new printing templates - can deliciousmonster set up a section of the website we can contribute to? I'm about to go rewrite the printing page for myself (well, make second version) - I'd be happy to share it, but how to do this?
2) Is there any way to have Delicious Library sync with Apple TV at all?
I think that would be amazingly useful (and a big commercial selling point I'm sure) to be able to flip through your DVD collection directly on your t.v.
3) wine, Wine Wine. Even if scanner isn't working for wine labels, is there a way to create a collection for wine & could add labels/comments ourselves (and update when wine collection finally ready -- really if barcodes aren't working - word searching instead? -
Inappropriate?1) People often ask for more flexibility with printing options, and it is something we'd like to implement. However, it is lower on our list of priorities since it's kind of a tangent feature for us.
2) WE WISH, WOULDN'T THAT BE COOL?? (they have a closed API so it's not possible (yet))
3) We know, we know, we know. Everyone wants wine. Maybe if we can find a database with a good API, we can do it. This is a big maybe-- and probably something for a very future version of the software.

Inappropriate?okie dokie then, I've been rewriting the html for printing template & would be happy to contribute it/ make it available to other delicious library users.. but where could I post the document? Is there a section in the forums where users can provide for other users, modified templates that they've created. (This is how realmac software operates & it is hugely popular because the community can help provide support/alternatives when the programmers are working on other design enhancements).
Happy to share the new printing template -- where can I share it??
