Program bug encountered: uncaught system exeption: signal 10
Upon start, Delicious library prompted me with an errormessage as seen above. It was not possible to click on the submit report button, since the application was in a deadlock. Had to force quit it and start over, which worked fine.
This is the first time I have seen this problem.

Did everyone try the new beta? 2.0.3 doesn't have the fix in it. You can download it here: http://delicious-monster.com/download...

Inappropriate? Was this the first time you've ever run the app? Was it loading your old version 1 library?
I've seen one or two crashes in CoreAnimation on launch, deep in Apple's code. I assume that will get more refined as CoreAnimation matures.

Inappropriate? The same error occurred for me when publishing to my me.com website. It happens every time I publish- I've submitted a bug report with the error log.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I'm getting the same error, also when publishing to mobile me. report was submitted.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?Got the same problem publishing to a folder. Started out with a 1.5 library, now running the latest verison.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Got the same problem. I bought this product a couple of months ago and i have never been able to use it 1 time withouth an error.
I’m disappointed
-
Inappropriate?had also the same problem with all 'possible' exports - or better: not possible. even locally it gets me the 'signal 10' error. error-message sent... let's hope it'll be fixed soon so i can buy the app which really looks great and has a very good usability!
I’m a bit frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I've had some success by changing the publishing options from "all shelves" to "selected shelves". But changing it back to "all shelves" brings the crash back.
I’m undecided
-
Inappropriate? If you turn off your iTunes shelf, the publish should work. It appears to be a problem with publishing the iTunes library, whether to local folder or mobileme.
-
Inappropriate?Ruben: when are you getting the error? During launching of DL2? Are you running the new 2.0.3 version?
-
Inappropriate?Everyone else: sounds like there's a crasher when publishing iTunes collections, for some people. I'm having trouble reproducing it so far, which is making it hard for me to fix.
Is there anyone besides the original poster and Ruben who are getting this crasher in a situation OTHER than when publishing iTunes collections?
-W -
Inappropriate?Ok... I've found one crasher in publishing iTunes shelves to anywhere, and fixed it. I'll get a beta out ASAP so we can make sure that this fixes all the problems you are seeing.
I was able to publish my iTunes collection after applying the fix:

Inappropriate?Just for clarification, I think I also got this one when I tried to publish, although I might remember incorrectly.

Inappropriate?I'm having this problem as well. I have an itunes library in my delicious library but it isn't supposed to be being published. I started with 2.0 and am now on 2.0.3. Can't publish at all. Trying to publish to FTP, by the way.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?I have the same issue when publishing my iTunes library to FTP in 2.0.3.
I’m unconcerned

Inappropriate? The new beta does not display most of my iTunes covers, and has some other issues. You can check it here:

Inappropriate? The beta works for me; I have no problems publishing but I haven't done much else with it yet.
The iTunes cover art reflects what is visible in Delicious Library, but iTunes itself shows many more covers. Is this the difference between artwork embedded in the MP3 versus artwork in iTunes own data structure? The things that do show seem to be albums that I either purchased from iTunes or manually added the artwork to. Artwork that iTunes added automatically does not show.
I’m pleased
-
Inappropriate?I'm having this too. I just bought the app today, installed it and added some DVDs and games (fewer than 250 items overall) and I can't publish to either a folder or my ftp site.
I’m very sad
-
The new beta fixes the publishing error for me as well. -
Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem. It initially started when I tried to publish from 2.0 so I upgraded to 2.03 and it published once. Now I try it and it comes up with that error half way through the progress and stops at the same point every time. I'm assuming it is a specific file but why did it work once?

Inappropriate? Is the following message related to this thread? (ns concrete data in with contents of file:options:error:) nil file argument - would you like to submit a bug report? - I can't use the camera to read bar codes now that I have updated to the latest version (2.03) I just get this message every time. Bewildered!
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?@spike
That is a separate issue. Try deleting the plist for Delicious Library 2, then relaunch and your camera should work correctly. -
Inappropriate?I installed the new version and now I can upload all my libraries, but there's still a pop up message that says that there are problems publishing in Mobile Me. Covers of my iTunes albums doesn't show. I'm sick and tired of this software, never, not one time, I was able to publish anything with no errors. I regret the day I buy this. I will tell my friends not to make the same mistake. I will zapp this app right now.
I’m sick and tired

Inappropriate?@Ruben
I understand and apologize your frustration and will of course give you a full refund, simply write to terry@delicious-monster.com.
Unfortunately the release of Delicious Library 2 coincided with the release of MobileMe, and it's been a roller-coaster ride for us as well trying to keep up with Apple's changes and fixes when they won't release any information or documentation to us about what they're doing. 2.0.4 had some major fixes for us, but we still have a few kinks we need to iron out. Again, we're working on perfecting this functionality and we apologize for the inconvenience.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?I found my personal cause of this error. I had erased the 'ALEX' voice from my OS due to the large footprint. I had then set the delicious library on 'read this book when scanned'. Leopard was looking for the alex voice but could not find it, causing delicious library to crash.
-
I'm also getting this error and have deleted 'Alex'. It looks like DL wants to use Alex. Any way to have the voice be user-defined, or else default to a different voice? -
Inappropriate?@eiza, @chortle,
Very interesting. No, there isn't a way for the voice to be user-defined or to default to a different voice, but if you uncheck "Speak scanned titles" in preferences, does it still throw the error? -
It does not throw the error if I uncheck "Speak scanned titles", so I can avert the problem. It's probably not too uncommon for savvy folks to delete Alex on laptops. btw sorry for not replying earlier-- i work in support and hate having lingering unresolved issues! :)
