Recognizing Kindle books
I have recently bought a Kindle from Amazon and am buying books that I download. I plan to do much more of this rather than buy paper books. How can I add these books to my library since you system does not recognize their ASIN number. Thank you.

Inappropriate?I have the same issue. I wrote a python script to take the text from Amazon's "Your Media Library" page, then used the Amazon XML interface to find the equivalent physical book, then put the result in a tab delimited file to import back into Delicious Library 2.
It would be FAR nicer if Delicious Library 2 could just download the list straight from Amazon. Or, at the very least, understand Kindle ASIN numbers. -
Inappropriate? There are eBooks in other formats as well so this format woukld be nice to add as well e.g. Kindle, Microsoft Reader, Epub, HTML, pdf etc.
Some publishers use an ISIN that is not in Amazon and others seem to reuse the the one they have for the Hardcover.

Inappropriate?I got online to make this suggestion to Delicious Monster. I'm glad there are others that have an interest in putting their Kindle purchases (or other e-books) within Delicious Library. That would be a wonderful feature!

Inappropriate?I think this is a wonderful idea. It would be great if the ebooks could be differentiated from print books both in the database and visually (a diagonal ribbon across the top corner of the cover for example).
Thanks for a great product!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?I would love this! It'd be ideal if there could be a way to add a Kindle account to the app and have it keep things updated (via page scrape or something). It would also be important to me to allow books I own physical copies of to be differentiated from Kindle purchases (extra 'electronic' flag, or maybe the format column - an overlay on the icon would be cool).

Inappropriate?I agree with you guys. This is the future of the book and DL needs to handle it cleanly. For now I'm finding the print version of the kindle book and using it's data and changing the format to "Kindle Book".

Inappropriate?Absolutely agree with the previous feedback about the requests for DL to be able to import data from Amazon about Kindle purchases. I just received my Kindle2 yesterday and certainly expect the vast majority of future book purchases to be in Kindle format. Glad to see others with the same request.
