Replicable crash when publishing iTunes library
I seem unable to publish my iTunes library from Delicious Library without having a system hang about 15 minutes into the affair. This however is not the case when publishing everything except my iTunes music. Any ideas?
thanks.

Inappropriate? How many items do you have in your iTunes music collection? Does it hang your entire system (so you have to hard-reboot) or does it just make it slow, or does it just hang DL2?
There was a potential running-out-of-VM problem in 2.0.1 and before that I've fixed in 2.0.2, if you want to try it. I don't know for sure if this is what you are seeing.
The beta is here: http://delicious-monster.com/download...

Inappropriate?I have 744 items in my iTunes music collection according to delicious library.
The actual crash (if you can call it that) is pretty strange it just seems to slow the computer down more and more until it becomes unresponsive in everything except the ability to move the mouse. If the machine falls asleep I'm still able to wake it. I have to do a hard restart to get the machine working again.
I'll try DL 2.0.2 now and see if it solves my problem.

Inappropriate? It seems to have made the crash all the worse, the mouse stopped responding this time around.
Is there a log that DL generates that I can post?
Thanks again

Inappropriate?I have exactly the same problem - 1,270 items in my iTunes library. I can publish everything except that one, but if I try to include it I get the same symptoms. Well at least I could, until I tried publishing a second time - but now I get the following error:
Unable to modify the folder Sites/deliciouslibrary on your .Mac account (undefined error. HTTP Status Code: -1).
After that, the only way to get it working again is to bring up my iDisk, manually delete the Delicious Library folder, and try again. -
Inappropriate?Hrm. Ok, definitely some kind of virtual memory leak. Remember that publishing even 1,000 items is a pretty big deal -- I mean, that's a LOT of cover images. A LOT. It's going to take a long time and a ton of disk space.
But I WILL look into this for 2.0.3, see if there's something boneheaded I am doing.

Inappropriate?Thanks Will.
Any idea on the publishing error I was getting, whenever publishing for the second time?

Inappropriate?I honestly don't know. .Mac's "undefined error -1" means nothing to me: their API has been, uh, QUIRKY to say the least.
We'll be looking into publishing issues for 2.0.3, which I'm starting on in a day or so.
