Slow screen drawing with Snow Leopard
Installed Snow Leopard on my 1st generation MacBook Air. Previously, DL2 was a little slow but worked fine. Now, there is an obvious problem with drawing the DL2 window - on first startup, instead of the shelves I get solid brown, with only one cover showing. Clicking into a different shelf triggers a redraw, but it is very slow and patches of solid brown are visible during the process.

Hi there,
Sorry for the lack of feedback. I've been working on a 2.3 release to fix the graphical glitches and other compatibility issues since Snow Leopard came out - Apple kind of surprised me here, because their explicit contract when updating the OS is binary compatibility with the previous release, and obviously this didn't happen here.
But Apple has been very nice about working with me on this issue, and as of September 11th we have a beta that works much better under Snow Leopard. I've never seen this brown background bug myself (I saw other glitches, though), so I can't PROMISE it's fixed in 2.3 beta, but I'm optimistic.
Please check out the 2.3 beta if you're having the issue and let me know (here or at support [at] delicious-monster [dot] com if you've previously filed a bug with us) if it's working for you.

Inappropriate?I have white macbook 2.2 ghz w/ 4 gb ram and 10.6 same brown artifacting issue as these concerned folks. Adding to the stress, the aesthetics of this particular bug-like behavior are just wrong, Faux wood grain is one thing but this runny brown is an abomination to the senses. I've included a screen shot. P.S. What's the current rev of DL 2.1 or 2.2? This is a fine product which I respect and this means by association I respect you fine coders, engineers, graphics types, and even some of you support people (the joke is on me as I am a Mac-Ronin (ex-Lead-Mac-Genius). One way to meet this respect would be to favor us with a semi-technical explanation of this issue. What new interaction between app & OS is causing the brown-out? What's the most likely resolution. Finally how might this choco-flood be tweaked perhaps into a nice goldenrod or mauve as a temporary yet prudent workaround to quiet this aesthetic affront?!? Brown...is the new...um.. Brown! Thank you for your awesome product. Now let's all pat ourselves on the back for motivation & focus... Next grab a tall one of those seemed-like-a-good-idea at the time 9% Alcohol, RED BULL! infused Malt Liquors and buckle down. We can close this bug and all these tickets out before either buzz starts to wane. I just know it. Break!
