Snow Leopard - iTunes Refresh Issue
Since installing Snow Leopard 10.6 yesterday, I've had a refresh issue with my iTunes Music icons. When starting DL2, I normally go to the Smart Shelf (SS) for recently purchased items I created since that's where I wait while my Flic Wireless Barcode Scanner uploads my newest records. I also enjoy watching the icon's graphics pour in once Amazon returns the needed info. Well, after installing 10.6, I did a cursory startup of each application just to see what worked/didn't work. DL2 started up fine, and popped up a dialog saying it was rebuilding its metadata, but when it finished I noticed the iTunes Music icons were all black boxes with their respective title names on them in white on the new items SS.
When I switched over to the DL2 created shelf for iTunes Music, those boxes were also all black. Thinking it was a caching issue, I quit and restarted DL2 and checked again. The new items SS still didn't refresh the iTunes music items. I tried again, only this time I went to the iTunes Music shelf first, and interestingly watched as the iTunes Music icons all populated correctly. When I then switched over to the new items SS, I saw that those iTunes Music icons were now populated with the correct graphic, as well.
The bottom line is that the only way I can get the iTunes Music objects to pull their graphics from iTunes to appear properly in other, non-iTunes Music shelf, shelves is to visit the iTunes Music shelf FIRST when I start up DL2.

Inappropriate?I still have to open the iTunes shelves first to populate the icons for my Smart Shelves (SS). However, I discovered after moving my ~/Library/Application Support/Delicious Library 2 folder safely to the Desktop and creating a new database to play with, and restoring an older copy of the Library, that I could now both Delete records with the menu selections, AND open the SSs first (without selecting all the iTunes shelves first) to get the SSs to populate with the iTunes icons.
So, that means something's amiss with my latest version of the database. I have no idea how to fix that. I guess we need a DL2 tool to verify the in-use database and repair it. I'm certainly not going back months and manually re-entering new records since then.
I’m frustrated
