The iPhone app: WHEN???
Let me put this as calmly as I can:
Aaaarrrrggghhhh!!! But WHEN are YOU going to launch the iPhone Delicious Library app??? WHEN? WHEN? Teeeeelllllll me when!!!

I missed - since I own Delicious Library 1 - to NOT being able to carry my library around with me, in my pocket, in the DVD & books store, etc. I NEED this iPhone app, it will make my life much easier (and, yes, delicious).
I'm checking *every day* on your website to see if you launched it (yeah, I know, it is a weird behavior), so it would help to have a release date, even really vague!

Inappropriate?It is only going to be compatible with DL2. However, we are working on a redesign that will bring the 3 column view back.

Inappropriate?You could use the Pocketpedia iPhone app. Export your DL2 library as DL1.5 and then import it into the various desktop pedia apps. The wirelessly sync to the iPhone. Yes it's laborious. But it is way better than xls files and a nice placebo while we wait for you know who! :) there is also an app called item shelf that does bar code scanning but I am not sure it will import of sync DL libraries. I am anxiously waiting for DL4iPhone, but I really need to have my lsit of titles with me so I am willing to jump through some hoops.

We are in the process of making a library viewer-- iPhone apps aren't just made out of thin air. There's a lot of tricky syncing to do with it, and of course, the Delicious artwork! It will be worth the wait when you see the app.

Inappropriate?So it is definate though? I love the idea of delicious 2, but if I can't sync it to my ipod touch it doesn't do the main thing I need. I don't have somewhere to publish my collection, and even then I can't access it if there is no wifi.

Would the company consider adding a status bar either here or on the homepage to show the app's progress? It might cut down on questions from those of us EAGERLY awaiting this app. Thanks!

Inappropriate?Val: it's hard to quantify how "done" with it we are, because software is never really "done", there are always things to improve! Once we get it to a status where the app feels releasable, we will release it =-) The best place to get your iPhone app status updates is Wil's twitter feed, www.twitter.com/wilshipley. He tweets about it all the time, and will likely announce beta on Twitter.
