v. 1.7 downloaded disk image could not be mounted
I have downloaded DL upgrade v. 1.7, but receive the following error message:
"Could not install Delicious Library because the downloaded disk image could not be mounted."
Followed by options to update later or try again.
I have tried this inside DL when prompted to upgrade, and by following the link (hidden in the blog) to download v.1.7 directly from the Delicious-Monster.
What does 'disk image could not be mounted' mean?

Inappropriate?Huh... that sounds like something within your computer/operating system that isn't allowing you to mount the disk image (the thing that lets you download our software). If you go here: http://www.delicious-monster.com/down...
does that let you download the app properly?
Let me know!

Inappropriate?I downloaded using the link you provided choosing the option to open the file rather than save it. This was unsuccessful, meaning, again the disk image could not be mounted. When I double clicked the Delicious Library.dmg in the download window, the package appeared on my desktop and a window opened prompting me to drag the icon to my application folder to install. This seemed to be effective, however, when I opened DL using the icon in the applications folder it was still DL ver. 1.6.6
Downloaded again and saved to desktop. Resulted in Warning: The following disk images failed to mount
Image: Delicious Library.dmg
Reason: not recognized
I am using OS X 10.4.11. Do you know what could be causing such an issue? I have not had this problem loading any other software, but as you say, it sounds like something to do with the Op System.
Any other suggestions?
I’m disappointed

I downloaded and saved to desktop with same results.

Inappropriate?After you download the file, make sure it has the exact name "DeliciousLibrary.dmg" because sometimes browsers get confused and append extra stuff to the end, which will then make OS X think it's something other than a disk image. If the name is wrong, change it. If it's right, then check the size. It should be 11790695 bytes in size.
Well, that's for the "It's not mounting" issue.
For the "It's loading 1.6.6," do a Spotlight search for "Delicious Library" then Show All. I'm going to bet you have multiple copies. One is probably in /Applications and the other in ~/Applications. -
Inappropriate?Okay, have downloaded the file. The name of the file is "DelciousLibrary.dmg". No extra characters appended to file name. It is saved to my desktop.
Size of the file is 1,275,051.
When attempting to load this file, error message:
Resulted in Warning: The following disk images failed to mount
Image: DeliciousLibrary.dmg
Reason: not recognized
As for the application: There is only one copy and it is found in the /Application folder, this remains.
I’m not satisfied.
-
Inappropriate?Ah, it won't open because it didn't finish downloading.
Yours = 1,275,051
Full = 11,790,695
Please try again until the size matches. It sounds like your internet connection is to blame.
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate?Ah, that is likely... dialup connection only... will try again.
I’m in the dark ages :-(
-
Inappropriate?Jane- I didn't know dialup was still around :-P Let me know if you still have issues once you can get the whole thing downloaded.
