Wanna be the first to use our iPhone app?
Hey everyone, good news!
Our iPhone application is in its final stages of production, and we are going to need some beta testers for it. Don't worry if you've never beta tested an application before, what we need is real users who are willing to spend some quality time using our app.
We won't be able to give everybody copies of the application, so I'm putting together a small list of people who are enthusiastic about being able to use this and give us feedback.

1) Do you have a name? If so, what is it?
2) Is your iPhone edge or 3G?
3) About how many items do you have in Delicious Library?
4) Do you use shelves and/or smart shelves?
5) Do you use the friends features on Delicious Library (checking items out, viewing other libraries)?
6) What is your favorite iPhone app, and why?
7) Is there anything else I should know about you?
Don't worry too much about my questions, I'm just trying to find a nice variety of beta testers =) Depending on how many emails I get, I'll try and respond to all of you when I have more information on our beta timeline.

Inappropriate?I have an iPod touch, do you need those for testing? Also, I've never build a DL Library before but have been considering it for ages, and now would be a good time to start. I imagine you need testers for the beginner side of things!
Let me know the word, and I'll shoot off that email if it's all good!

Been eagerly waiting for this for ages. Every time I go to a book store and can't recall whether I have book X in a series, I have to try and find it on my iPhone with a link to my DL2 library online. But thats not searchable, so this would be SO much better!
What would also rock many socks is the ability to use the iPhone as a scanning device.

Inappropriate?Is it possible to use the iPhone to scan barcodes into DL2? That would be great! Edit: Just saw that this was requested elsewhere. But seconding the request.

Inappropriate?In case I dont get on the beta, I just hope the final release isnt too far off. Wasnt too bothered about when it arrived as I know you take your time to get it right, but the beta news now makes me think Yes I do want it soon.

Inappropriate?Ingo; it is not a barcode scanning application. As much as we would LOVE to do that, there are some limitations in Apple's iPhone coding rules that act as a bit of a roadblock for us.

Please check "Pic2Shop" app, it is new and can scan 1D barcodes. Maybe you can do some collaboration with this developer for a future version ?

i've been trying to see to see if i could get DL2 to talk to Pocketpedia, but if the DL2 comes to iPhone, then I can get rid of my Palm. woohoo.

Inappropriate?UPDATE: beta list is now closed. I sent an e-mail out to everyone on the list (it's a pretty small private beta).
