ac power type cannot be determined

whenever i plug my charger in it says. "the ac power type cannot be determined. Your system will operate slower and the battery will not charge. Please connect a dell 65 w or higher for best system operation". my charger is the right charger and is 65w. When my charger is plugged in the amount of battery is held but no more is added in i am slowly running out of power.
