BIOS and Windows Vista - bad combination?
I recently purchased a new Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium. I installed a BIOS update (or, I think I did). Now, Windows has been shutting off and switching to blue screen, citing that 'Windows has encountered a problem and needs to shut down'. Windows successfully restarts and recovers each time, but this is is still annoying.
The blue screen never shows up long enough for me to read all of the info, but I did see something about BIOS on there. So, I deleted the BIOS update/alert just now.
Is my problem solved?
