Class Action Lawsuit!! chargers not charging battery What a scam!
I see a lot of issues all models of dell laptops with charger recognized but message says it wont charge the battery a lot of problems this is ridiculous, 2 dell laptops bought about 14 months ago both have same problem, Sony laptop bought 12 months ago no issue whatSoever, I am thinking class-action lawsuit?????

Inappropriate?I'm in the midst of filling a small claims case in Canada against Dell for this exact issue... 1 month old machine needed to be replaced due to Bad mainboard and charger module failed.. AC Adapter changed 3 times and now battery is dead 1 week after warranty... Machine is a XPS m1730 from April 2008..

Inappropriate?There was a claim done for the financial problem they had with 0% interest rates, but this is a new claim.. I couldn't find anything that has been filed before in regards to AC Adapters and Batteries.. Looking at this forum and at the Dell forums, there are a lot of others affected.. Infact, i know about 10 myself who have never posted on the forums in regards to crap batteries and AC Adapters, including my brother and his Inspiron 1521. My Toshiba batt is 6 yrs old, Blackberry is 4, Camcorder is 5, and my Cordless Phones are 5... So, why does t emost expensive devices battery last 1 year and 1 week and have to go through 3 chargers in a years span!? haha..

Inappropriate?Count us in. My wife's 1525's original AC adapter croaked. Have been running on a 3rd party adapter for 6mos. Now the laptop is a doorstop. Will not power up.
Had the DC input jack replaced. Did nothing. We're stuck with a dead laptop. -
Inappropriate?I have a studio 1735 and the warranty ran out yesterday. Today the charger quit working and the laptop error when turned on says it is not a dell adaper. It came with te laptop and says dell on it. I called and was told warranty expired yesterday so they won't help me. I will never buy from Dell again. I am in law school and have on line classes. I am on the end of my battery right now.
