Dell Adamo Power Cord follies - over a month now without a replacement cord.
Dell Adamo - loaded. The laptop is awesome with Windows 7....
Unfortunately, I lost the power cord and have been unable to use my new Dell.
I ordered a replacement power cord over a month ago. Order number 848140046.
Dell keeps calling to say the item is on back order.
WTF. Backorder for over a month? Every time I hear from Dell the power cord is yet another week away.
What good is this premium, top of the line, Dell Adamo laptop without power? How are there not replacement parts available or other compatible power cords for such a premium machine?
Worse, upon calling the customer support line, I end up in an infinite loop of ridiculousness..... of operators forwarding me to other operators to eventual dead lines that hang up on me.
In summary - Dell Adamo, fantastic laptop for the week I've used it. It is ludicrous that ordering a replacement power cord should take over a month and that the customer support is so poor.
ATTN: MICHAEL DELL - you need to do better at turning the company around.

Inappropriate?I'm pleased to report that William Bivin from Dell's social media group saw my post here on GetSatisfaction and was able to cut through the nonsense quickly.
Apparently there were a few hundred in stock sitting in some warehouse....
A new powercord was overnighted. I received it one day after posting this note.
I'm happy to be able to use my new laptop once again.
