Inappropriate?a new battery should be full chargared before it was used , Activate the battery with voltage and current 1.5 times higher than those of the battery.

Inappropriate?I just bought a brand new battery for my latitude d600 and it will not charge the battery but my ac adapter is plugged in and I am running the computer from the outlet. THe battery came with a 50% charge and the computer has been draining it since I put it in. Any way to make the computer charge the batter
