Dell revokes 0% financing with a shrug.
I was 2 days late on a payment for a Sony HDTV and, despite never missing a payment, they have revoked our 0% financing. The 2 days were an issue with the bank while we were out of town. We had no control over the problem. Dell is completely inflexible about this and has, essentially, shrugged. Is there any further action we can take? If not, we are paying this off with money from another financial system. One that respects repeat, honest customers.

Inappropriate?Read your finance agreement -- they have every right to do this. If it was a problem with your bank -- electronic banking bill pay - then get them involved - or force them to cover the interest payments on a go forward basis -- Most if not all banks guarantee their bill pay service. If your bank doesn't - I'd be looking for a new bank. But in any case - Dell is not to blame - they are only doing what they are permitted to do under the agreement.
This has nothing to do with respect -- repeat -- or honest customers. It has everything to do with conducting business based on the terms of the agreement that both parties agreed to.
What if they let every customer pay 2 days late each month on say on 100,000.000.00 at 6% -- That would be close to 400,000.
Where do you draw the line -- 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, a week late?
