Dell warranty goes out same day server dies but because no case was open before Dell says "tough"!
Customer has 3 Desktops, 1 notebook and 1 server under Dell Lease. Dell lease and warranty went out this week. On Friday the server acted up but a few reboots and all was well, they thought. Come Saturday or Sunday the server went down and stayed down. Called Dell on Monday and the warranty went out on Saturday so they said "tough love baby" your out of luck no matter it the server acted up on Friday or you have stuff still under lease.
I understand contract terms and such but to have no wiggle room or be willing to work with a customer who has paid a ton on leasing cost is weak at the very lease. Customer is replacing all equipment this week and of course Dell is not on the vendor list.

Inappropriate?Hi Tech Help,
Was there a specific hardware problem with the server or do you think it is a software issue? Even though the warranty is out, you still have phone support and they should help you troubleshoot. If you have already done this and know which part is causing the issue, send me an email with your information and I will see if there is anything I can do.
