Frustrated about AC power adapter not being determined
AC power adapter type can not be determined. Your system will operate slower and the battery will not charge? I am at school and need to take my laptop places, however it is hard to do this with a dead battery. I have an Inspiron 1501 and have had NOTHING but problems with it. My screen constantly goes blue and I have gone through 2 batteries already. Then when I call, I sit on customer service for about 2 hours and get transferred to China and India and they can not even understand me. I am so frustrated!

Inappropriate?Well the problem can be with the ac adapter or motherboard, are you able to try a known good ac-adapter? If you have access to one please try it, if you still having the same problem you will need to replace motherboard.

Inappropriate?You can buy an expensive extended warranty, a new motherboard or awhole new laptop. Either way it's a MONEY SUCK knowingly perpitrated on customers -due to the faulty adapters- sent out courtesy of Dell.
Dude, buy a dell and you're scr*wed. Where are the 13 Dell employees that are supposed to be answering customer questions on this site? I can't even get answers to thos CRIMINAL adapter scam on dell's fourm.
