I just sent back my Dell E6400 which is not what I ordered, and know I won't be credited for about two weeks. I ordered a 1440x900 and Backlit display and I got neither.

The expectation of 2 weeks for the credit to post is given as a worst case scenario, they tend to move much quicker than that.
And in your situation, the system has been received and it appears as if the credit was posted back to the original form of payment on 2/8/08.
