When I first got my inspiron, it kept going into sleep mode. I had to manually shut down and reboot. I thought it had to do with the new windows vista. Please advise if they resolve it.

I am not sure I completely understand your issue. When you say it kept going into sleep mode, do you mean it did this without any input from you, or did it go into sleep when you tried to hibernate or shutdown?
