Inspiron E1505 bought new battery, ac adaptor lights up for a second and stops charging. Help
Here is my issue (service tag JY966C1) Inspiron E1505
I have bought a new battery few months ago and the laptop was fine. It actually never worked perfect since the day I got it. The screen was always dimmed and the battery had to be charged every day. Since I had not have a laptop before I thought it was normal. Than I saw my friends devices and was very disappointed.
Anyway....last week my laptop started acting up. The batter shows fully charged but I do get the message in about 10 seconds after turning the laptop on that I need to switch to the power outlet or change the batter and it goes dead.. I have bought the new battery and the same thing happened. The power adaptor stays green for a few seconds and than the light goes off. I know it’s not the ac adaptor since the green light on the main unit is lit. Any ideas what could have happened?
