My XPS M1330 Touch Pad Scroll doesn't work in Windows 7
Touch pad scrolling doesn't work in Windows 7. I installed the driver located here: http://support.euro.dell.com/support/...
But it doesn't make a difference. Is there any sort of setting that needs to be enabled in order for this to work?

Inappropriate?Martin,
It would appear this might be one case where a Vista device driver doesn't provide full functionality in Windows 7 or isn't completely compatible with the beta OS.
I’m unsure
-
Inappropriate?I'm actually not sure that it even worked in Vista when I picked it up for the first time.

Inappropriate? You are talking about the scroll function that's activated by sliding your finger up or down the right edge of the touchpad aren't you?
-
Inappropriate?Yes I am.

Worked for me as well, Thanks!! -
Inappropriate?I have tried all manner of drivers and still the scroll function does not work.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Use the synaptics drivers under Windows 7. Worked great for me.

Did you try the Synaptics driver that Jamie posted a link to months ago? -
The Vista Synaptics driver should work. The Dell version is too far out of date. -
Inappropriate?Eventually, the genious of Windows 7 picked up the driver itself. And it works!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?I went to the website in this post and saw that synaptics recommends going to your manufacturers website and download the drivers for your hardware. I have a dell D830 so I went to Dell.com and downloaded the driver that Dell recommended. After installed, I restarted and the scroll featuer worked. So, go to your manufacturers website and try downloading their driver. The Synaptic driver above did not work for me.
