OEM Windows XP CD?
How can I re-install Windows XP operating System on a failed Hard drive? Can I get a CD from Dell or download it fron Microsoft and use the key at the back of my laptop?

Inappropriate?If your hard drive is bad it may need to be replaced, What is wrong with the hard drive? Do you get an error? Did you misplace your WinXP disc? If so, you can click the title below to fill out the form and Dell will replace your disc one time. I dont think that you can download WinXP these days. You would have to purchase it.

I bought two laptops from Dell. An Inspiron 600m and 6000. Both came loaded with Windows XP, but I did not receive a XP CD with the laptop.
