Tightening HP Pavilion DV9000 17" LCD Hinges
hi, everyone
as you may already know, i got this HP Pavilion DV9000 LCD hinges at
http://www.laptopbattery-usa.com/hp-p...
and i want to fix it up.
the lcd swivel hinge is quite good and doesn't wobble at all
the open and close part of the hinge is tight enough that the lid will stay open and not close on itself, but it is rather wobbly and floppy. there is a high degree of bend before you actually feel the resistance of the hinge
my question is:
is there a tutorial somewhere or does someone know how to tighten this hinge?

Inappropriate?Hi, david2008.
This is actually the Dell section of GS.com, but I will take a stab at it. On many hinge designs there is a spring that runs laterally and is coiled inside the hinge assembly. I can't tell from the angle of the picture, but is there a screw that runs laterally on the outside edge of the hinge assemblies?
