XPS 1530 DOA can't get replacement sent
Well my customer support troubles began the day I received my xps 1530 laptop. I ordered it Monday 12/1/08 . I received my computer 12/4/08 (fast shipping GREAT!!)
went to power on system nothing. I tried everything. Nothing worked. I called customer service no problem we'll order you a replacement computer ( GREAT!!! ) should see in 3 to five business days OKAY. Week passes no laptop call again with case #. Problem with the order so they reorder me new one. Should see it in 3 to 5 business days. called again with my case # after a couple of days to get an order #. Once again order was canceled. Supposedly customer service rep enter the order in wrong causing this delay. Should see it 3 to 5 business days. As you can see this is a developing trend. Well guess what couple days passed I call again with the case #. CS tells me the order was canceled again supposedly this time the reason all my orders are being canceled is because the CS reps keep ordering me a new 1530 XPS laptop instead of a refurbished 1530 XPS laptop. By this time I want a new laptop with one heck of a discount to keep me happy and to keep me from letting everyone I know that Dell sucks. Everyone in the Phillipines and India are very sorry but they can't really help me. They have to chat with someone in Texas and the only way they have to communicate is by chat. After a 1/2 hour on hold the CS rep tells me he can't get through will call me in a 1/2 hour to update me on order. So in a 1/2 hour he calls back says he can't get them to answer he'll have to call me back tomorrow. Guess what he don't call back. 12/28/2008 still no laptop, no order, and no nothing except this $999.00 brick

I dont see the email, but I've been out on holidays and paternity leave for a long time, so it could be buried in my inbox or have suffered a mass delete. That number is too large to be a service tag, and I tried it as an express service code. It doesn't come back associated to anything. Could you possibly find the service tag on a white sticker somewhere on the bottom of the system and double check it for me, please? -

If you get it straightened out. I'm willing to keep the original for one heck of a discount since the Blu-ray dvd burner don't work or they better give me a discount on the new one to keep me happy.

I know you guys sell millions of computers a day but I don't understand how a Company like Amazon.com sells millions of different products and it has one of the best customer service for online purchases
