Filter Projects by Category?
Would you consider adding the ability to filter projects by category on the Project Listing Page?
I'd really like it if I could select a category and have ONLY those projects in that category show.

Inappropriate?Hi Charlain,
You can click on the "All" filter (radio button) and then filter your projects by a specific category.
In the next week, we will be adding an enhancement so that the filter option you choose will be set every time you go to the Project Listing page.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Hi Sal,
Thanks for the reply. I clicked on the All Radio button, but I don't see any way to filter it further. What am I missing?
Thanks,
Charlain
I’m confused?!

Inappropriate?Sal,
What would cause my Sort feature to disappear? On my Projects page, I see the calendar, but there is nothing below it.
On my co-worker's page (also a Super User), she has the sort box with the radio button choices.
On hers, when we pick Sort and then All, we are not offered the option to filter it any further. So, when we want to see ONLY the projects whose Category is "ABC Company" how do we do that?
I’m perplexed
-
Inappropriate? You need to have more than 5 projects to have the filters displayed. Try adding another project and you will see the filters.
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate?Ok, I added another project - and the standard filters New, Ongoing Top 5, etc appeared. Yea!
I also added enough projects to where I got the "Sort by" drop down list and the ability to select the Category to Sort By.
Unfortunately, this is not working for us -- We are using the Categories to hold the Company Names for which we have multiple projects.
What we want to be able to do is view only the projects for "This Company" or "That Company".
The "JUMP TO" almost works for this -- but when you choose the CATEGORY to "JUMP TO" nothing happens. You have to choose the individual project for the JUMP TO to work.
So, please consider fixing this so that when you choose the CATEGORY to JUMP TO that all the projects for that CATEGORY are listed, and the others are hidden.
DeskAway is great, and I can see how it will be a very useful tool for our business!. This would go a long way to making it perfect for us!

Sal, we figured it out and it does work when we select Sort by Category. -
Inappropriate? The Sort By should do the trick. Since your categories are company names and each category could have more than 1 project for that company, by choosing a Category from the Sort By should list all the companies within that category!
Make sure that when you do this, the 'Search By Project Name' textfield is blank.
Do let me know what happens and I hope I have understood your question correctly.
I’m confident
