Inappropriate?Hi Varengo
I'm not a DeskAway employee, but I'm an IT consultant who uses MS Exchange & DeskAway.
What you're asking is a bit vague... if it was possible to integrate these two completely disparate systems, what would be on your wish list?
Before posting, you could check whether someone's already asked for the same feature. I've been amazed what people have asked here in the past...

Happy hunting!
I’m hoping to replace Exchange with Zimbra one day. Gooo Zimbra!

Hello,
Thanks.
What I'd like to achieve would be the following:
from DeskAway, access to my company's MS Exchange contact list to be able to communicate with non-DeskAway users, from the DeskAway interface.
Also let the non-DeskAway users get access to a generic contact email that should then generate tasks/issues in DeskAway, and send an auto-reply/notification. -
It is possible via MS Outlook plugin. I saw this feature in CentralDesktop http://www.centraldesktop.com/home/ho... it's very usefull -
Inappropriate?Hi Varengo
What you're trying to achieve sounds fantastic. However, as far as I know, there's no way to do what you are wanting to do & still easily keep data (e.g. contact data) synchronized between DeskAway & Exchange.
The DeskAway system is a modern web-based system. Exchange on the other hand is quite dated really... it wasn't built with web-standards or web-integration in mind & this is the crux of the problem.
Looking to the future, I think there would be more chance/success of integration with a web-based email system such as Googlemail rather than Microsoft Exchange.
Have you looked at Microsoft Project Server or Microsoft Sharepoint though? These products will integrate well with Exchange & might meet your expectations in terms of functionality.
Also, just in case you weren't aware, did you know it's possible to create & assign tasks to Exchange users (& get email updates etc) through Microsoft Outlook without adding anything extra to your setup?
Hope this helps & (especially to DeskAway staff) I'm really, really sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to put you off DeskAway, but it just sounds like what you're trying to achieve with Exchange just isn't feasible.
[If anyone knows different though, I'd love to hear. I use both DeskAway & Exchange].
I’m feeling a bit guilty about this post

Hi,
Thanks fo this valuable feedback.
To be honest, project server and sharepoint are quite outdated / non flexible tools, just like Exchange.
Unfortunately, due to company policy we have to keep on using Exchange as email client.
I'm looking for the best way to make those 2 tools interact, especially in terms of task creation and contacts synchronisation.
Thanks -

Inappropriate?Thanks dodghz,
You are correct - the integration with Exchange is not possible at this moment.
