Can't install Dexrex Blackberry extensions
I am unable to install Dexrex Blackberry Extensions. On step 3, after I input my country code (1), it appears to be contacting the server and then simply stops, leaving me on the step 3 page. This has taken a variable amount of time, but usually happens almost immediately. I'd really like to try dexrex out but I've yet to have any success with it (and I only need it for blackberry SMS archiving)

Inappropriate?Hey Bill,
Are you given an option during the setup process to send a report or a debug log? It would be a big help to see the log but if you are not given the option we can work around it. Also, it would be helpful if you could let me know what BlackBerry model you own and what OS version it is running. To find out what OS version you have, go to option -> about and it will be the 4.x.x number.
One last thing you can try is to leave the CCC field blank and attempt to move on to the next step. This CCC conflict is an extremely small use case but the next version of the BlackBerry app will address it. (It may be a more immediate fix for you.)
Thanks Bill! We'll get this all squared away soon.
Cheers,
Dan

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I'm using a Sprint Blackberry Curve 8330 running OS 4.5.0.33
No option to send a report/debug log. When I hit "save settings" it says "talking to server" and then just abruptly stops with no error message or anything.
When I leave the CCC blank, it says "please provide a valid CCC" -
Inappropriate?Hey Bill,
Thank you for the info! We are currently working on a new version of the app that will resolve the issue you are experiencing. We believe it has to do with the app asking your phone for permissions it does not have. The new version of the app will address this. We are planning on releasing a new version shortly after New Years.
One other possible solution in the meantime is to go to the Dexrex app on your phone, click the Blackberry button, select 'advanced options' and then select 'set permissions'. Set all permissions to 'allow'. You can also get to the permissions section when the app tries to go from step 3 to 4. There will be an option to view permissions while the app attempts to set them.
Hopefully that will work, if not - it won't be long until version 2.11 is available.
Cheers,
Dan

Inappropriate?I am having same problem with my Blackberry 8330. Funny thing is I was installing for two phones both purchased at same time with same 4.3 Op Sys software. One phone installed with no problem, other phone gets stuck at step 3. I compared settings and did not see any difference except "Phone" permission in "Connections" was set to Allow for phone that worked but Prompt for phone that did not. Changed to Allow and tried to reinstall but had same result - still stuck. Once Subit is selected, popup says "Connecting to Server" then nothing.....

Inappropriate?Hey Raj,
I think the particular issue you were experiencing was a server error. Please try again and let me know how it goes by sending an email to contact@dexrex.com.
Cheers,
Dan
