Are there additional parameters to utilize more capabilities within the shortcodes?
ie. will some of these (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/r...) parameters work with the dsIDXpress shortcodes?
For my site City will pull all of the listings in the CMLS which comprises of quite a large area especially due to our recent expansion.
Is it possible to limit the shortcode data pull via zipcode, schools, subdivision etc?
Is there a parameter to paginate, ie. if one selects 50 properties, indicates subdivision, and wishes to show one full view property per page/post - will the widget allow the properties to occupy one post per property and paginate?

We are working on a neat-o tool that will let you point and click and it will generate the short code for you... but in the meantime, here goes:
Start your code with:
[idx-listings
Then to filter you can use either a link ID to filter based on one of your existing IDX account custom links:
linkid="123456"
...or you can use a combo of any of these to filter listings on the fly, just add a space between each item:
city="irvine"
community="woodbridge"
tract="turtle rock"
zip="92612"
minprice="350000"
maxprice="500000"
Additionally, you can sort the listings using any of these variables:
orderby="Price"
orderby="ImprovedSqFt"
orderby="LotSqFt"
orderby="Beds"
orderby="WalkScore"
orderby="Baths"
orderby="OverallPriceDropPercent"
orderby="DateAdded"
orderby="LastUpdated"
Then end your code with:
]
You should end with something like this:
[idx-listings city="irvine" zip="92612" orderby="Price"]
Remember: these are all case sensitive and will not work if you add any spaces
Be creative and have some fun with these! If you wanted to filter by additional criteria, please create a custom link or otherwise let us know here!

Nice Robert, I look forward to the widget being reactivated for my site!

Robert,
I'm still having problems with the link id code in either posts or pages. I'm using code like this: [idx-listings linkid="45135" orderby="Price" count="20"] and I'm finding that it finds the link but never populates the listings. An example maybe found here
test page
Am I doing something incorret with the shortcode?
Thanks,
Cindee -

Good Morning Robert,
I tried the linkid like Cindee has and I have the same problem. I added the following code into the ds hosted blog [idx-listings city="Long Beach" orderby="Price" orderdir="DESC" count="20"] and nothing appears http://redwagonteam.com/blog/blog/dow...
Have a fun day,

@Cindee -- Everything on your end looks good, but there was a bug with the short codes on our end. This issue was just corrected about an hour ago, but due to caching it may be another hour or so before you see the effect.
@Jay -- It looks like your activation key is currently activated for your blog here: redwagonteamriverside.com ...so shortcodes will not work on redwagonteam.com blog. Check out this post for more info: http://community.dsidxpress.com/diver... -

This will sort with the newest listings on top:
[idx-listings city="Denver" orderby="DateAdded" orderdir="DESC"] -

Thanks Robert.

I used the shortcode [idx-listings city="Lake Elsinore" minprice="200000" maxprice="300000" orderdir="DESC" count="20"] on this page http://www.redwagonteamriverside.com/... and the top 20 homes in that price range do not appear.

It looks like you have some formatting tags that are breaking up the shortcode on that page. It you look at the HTML of your page, you'll see the <span> tags that are causing this issue.
Just edit the code and remove the tags manually, or otherwise retype the code to remove the tags.
<span style="font-size: medium;">[</span>
<span style="font-size: medium;">idx-listings city="Lake Elsinore" minprice="200000" maxprice="300000" orderdir="DESC" count="20"]</span> -

No shortcode for property type just yet, but it should be ready later this week. In the meantime, you can create custom links in your admin that filter by property type; then use the short code to pull up that link...
linkid="123456" -

Where is this admin area where you can create these custom shortcodes?
-
I would like to know this as well

How do you write a short code to display two different tract names? For instance, in Nashville, there is a condo project that has two tract names "ICON" and "Icon in the Gulch". How do you write a short code to display both variations?
-
great question...anyone?
-
-
Shortcode only pulls one tract at a time. To pull multiple tracts (including multiple variations of the same tract), you will need to create a dsSearchAgent link to filter the listings, then you can use shortcode to pull all the listings based on that link ID.
