To which specific TLD are you referring? We're adding the 3-char limit to TLDs in our dataset as soon as we learn of them, for example zch.
If you let us know when you encounter glitches like these in Domainr, we'll fix them asap.

Hi Andrew, what specifically do you mean? .us domains currently require 3-characters minimum. -
For example: http://domai.nr/aqua.ri.us/ -
NeuStar registers domain names under ri.us. As a locality second-level domain, it’s subject to special restrictions.
