Can I control who sees my travel plans?

How can I keep my travel plans private, but give selected people a direct link to them? I tried inviting someone as a test, and when they click on the e-mail link, they have to sign up as a user, and then search to find me. What I'd prefer to do is give a select group of people a direct link to my travel plans that they can bookmark. And I don't want just anyone seeing my travel plans. Sorry I'm not completely familiar with your functionality but I did spend a fair amount of time on your site and this is as far as I got. Thanks.
