Inappropriate?Admittedly, our first version of http://m.dopplr.com is simple and a little limited. We already have some ideas for v2.0, but what would you like to see included to really get the most out of Dopplr on your mobile?
I’m interested

Inappropriate?I have a more general dopplr request.
I suggest finding a way to automatically strip uploaded calendars from "ineligible" travel destinations. Dopplr should automatically check the destination fields for the name of the place the person actually lives/works in and strip these out (=not generate trips).
That would be a tremendous help when working with just one business calendar that is uploaded to dopplr but contains plenty of appointments that are not supposed to show up in dopplr.
I’m content

I try quite hard to do that already (ignore calendar entries with locations in your home city). Can you point me at an example calendar with this problem? -
Good to know that you do this already. I tried a while ago and thought you didn't back then. I'll check again. -
Inappropriate? The things I'm most likely to want to do from my mobile are last-minute coordination, info-gathering type things:
* See who is in the same place as me
* Send a message to all coincident fellow travellers for my current or next trip (for when I've forgotten to arrange to meet up with anyone)
* View my notes/ related emails for current or next trip (e.g. I've forgotten my booking reference)
* Add/ change a trip (I've spontaneously decided to go on a travel tangent)
I’m helpful

I really like the idea of messaging fellow coincident travelers! To me that's a much better use case for "location-based social networking" than knowing what random strangers are nearby wherever I happen to be. :-) -
Inappropriate?how about making a trip up along the way? for instance when you leave on a whim or don't have time or opportunity or interest in planning all the stops along the way beforehand? perfect for road trips and appalachian trail hikers.
also last minute changes - plane cancellations, etc.
quick access to tips about the city. and the ability to add tips on the go. -
Making a trip along the way is a good argument for a location-aware iPhone app (hint hint). -
Inappropriate? Some really good suggestions here. Overall, the ideas that resonate for me are combining Dopplr with the ability to contact or meet with fellow travelers. This of course lends itself to the argument in favor of a location-aware iPhone app...
I’m excited

Inappropriate?Usually, when I use m.dopplr.com, I am already on a trip. So I would like to have an easy access to functionnalities useful when traveling :
- Having a link to the page of the city I am in or a link to the tips of the city.
- As said Foe, being able to see fellow travellers or to have access to related emails.
- ...
I’m great
- Having a link to the page of the city I am in or a link to the tips of the city.
-
Inappropriate? One addition would be to have a button "arrived in PLACE" so that the trip would have a starting time - this would help also bordering the "Flickr photos taken during this trip" a feature I just love.
I’m excited
