iPhone native DropBox application?
I like the iPhone layout, but it seems a bit pointless unless you can upload files. What's the point of having access to your files if you can add to them? If that's the case, you may as well switch over to Google and it's apps (e.g Picasa and Docs), or another file storing service.
Therefore, I think it would be a useful idea to create an iPhone application, sometime in the near future.

Inappropriate?Hey Darien,
Yup, our iPhone app is actually entering the first round of beta testing this week and should be available to everyone within a month or two. Sorry for the wait!

Jon, are you in need of testers? -
any news? -
Dude, it's been 3 months. Just thought you should know. -
Inappropriate?Hey David,
No opening for testers at the moment, but this will probably change in the coming weeks. I'll be sure to keep you notified. -
Please count me in as a tester, when beta testing phase begins ;)

Inappropriate?any update on this?

Inappropriate?Didn't you get an email on this a few weeks back? They're planning to release the app in a few weeks/months.
I’m indifferent because my iPod touch is water damaged.

Inappropriate?I, too, can't wait for a proper Dropbox iphone app. and feature request: I hope that it letsyou store at least some files offline on your device (I've got an ipod touch, so offline features are key)...
until dropbox is released: there's a pretty decent solution available now. Soonr has a service very similiar to dropbox, its a bit more businessy/teamwork oriented, but pretty similiar. 2gb free. desktop app which syncs a folder of your choosing to the cloud. And an iPhone app which offers pretty great access to your files in the cloud. No offline access. But all of that is free. AND, since we're talking dropbox here, if you choose your dropbox folder as your Soonr sync folder (do this when installing the application on your computer), then your Soonr cloud will mirror your Dropbox cloud (more or less), and their iphone app will offer you pretty solid access to such cloud. -
Inappropriate?cant wait for this, I just hope they get it right first time or otherwise i'll go somewhere else.
-
Inappropriate?the features list on the site already mentions the app as if it was available and has pictures of an iPhone (in cartoon form).

Sorry about that, our App is actually finalized, but we're waiting on approval from Apple before it's added to the app store. You can read about it here: http://blog.getdropbox.com/
