I've embedded a drop.io widget in my website, and it has worked (last week, for example) but today I've tried uploading two different files to my drop, and neither has shown up in my drop, although they appeared to be loaded successfully from my site. I have not changed any of the code on my webpage (I'm 99.9% sure of this).
It's not on a production site yet, so I'm still just testing it, but today the test is not going well...
Any ideas what's going on? Should I expect a long delay for things to show up??
I have been able to upload files via my gmail account to my drop without issues. However, when I try to do the same for files sent via my corporate lotus notes account, the files never seem to arrive at my drop. Is this a lotus notes issue? I can, of course send e-mails out normally to customers and business partners. :-)
I added the code for the upload widget. I set the drop so guests can add files. All I see is a blank area above the drop.io text link, in both Firefox and IE. I also looked at some embedded widgets on other people's sites, and they also had a blank area and no functional widget. Help!
I have a premium drop 1GB with dropio and have set it to private by password protecting it. This is because I have clients who upload files for me and I don't want them to see other people's files.
But is there a way for me to show them just their files? I know I can upload to a new drop but that has a 100 MB limit. Is there a way I can use my own account, which has a larger capacity for them to see *just* their file(s)?
I've tried embedding the upload widget to my site, but it displays nothing but text on the bottom of the widget. I'm using firefox 3.0.1. Am I missing something?
When I upload a file with a unicode encoded filename (Chinese characters), they are stripped from the filename upon upload. This limits my ability to use Drop.io here in Taiwan, where almost all documents are named in Chinese.
After a 2 hour wait for an upload to complete, getting the message "Upload Failed: failed to retrieve file after " is not what I want to hear :(
I am using the html uploader to uploader a 230meg .rar file. This is not the first time this has happened. I think it needs to be looked into please. It's most frustrating achieve nothing after an upload of this duration.
Instead of images being all over the place, need a separator for grouping - could be as simple as a "line" that you can "grab" and place on page. When you drop 100 images, nobody wants to pile through all of them- need to be able to just create simple little "groupings" on the fly with a "bar" or "line" or some sort of separating graphic.
Adding VOIP (esp. Skype, mabye Gizmo, ...) reachability to drops (according to the current "phone" method) would be a great benefit, esp. for users in non-US countries (cf. http://getsatisfaction.com/dropio/top...)
I'm trying to add several files to a drop by e-mail, however every time I send a file it's added twice. I've tried different e-mail accounts and file types.
I have a premium drop (1 gig) and I'm trying to upload a large file (122 MB in .zip format). I sit at the upload screen (also tried the HTML uploader) until it says ETA: 00h:00m:00s and then the page refreshes with no changes - my file doesn't appear in my drop, even after an hour. I've been able to add files this large in the past with no problem. Any suggestions?
I would love to be able to add/edit info in comments I have made to a file I uploaded to my drop. I am trying to use comments to describe a file, and the information has changed. Instead of adding another comment, I would like to edit a previous one.
