Any chance of more description in RSS feed items?
I've been experimenting with getting a RSS feed of my drop but all the new items say something like 'A New Document Has Been Added to [Name of Drop]' - which, to be frank with you is not a great help to me - any chance of more detail - a more descriptive title perhaps? I use Bloglines and Google Reader.

Hey Cimm,
We agree, those feeds can be more informative.
We're going to slate this for development. I can't give you a definite as to when it will be live on the site but as it's not a massive undertaking, within a month or two is probably a good guess.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Best,

Inappropriate?Hey Noel,
You can turn on right media RSS by going into your admin options (log in w/ admin pw, click 'edit drop' and then 'RSS Settings') which will include more info with your feed.

Inappropriate?Peter,
The only option available in RSS Settings is a checkbox: "Include files directly in RSS feeds (less security)" and the possibility of resetting the RSS feed. How do you add more info to the RSS feed? This would actually also be useful for drops that I don't control. For example, the drop.io blog, whose feed is not at all informative.
Best,
cimm.

Thanks Peter - very helpful. -
A title feed such as "The file Example.txt has been added to the drop". Moreover, it would be useful:
1) in the case of a plain text file, to make the feed description contains the text of the file, as if it was a note;
2) to distinguish in the feed title and the feed description the two cases of a simple file added to the drop versus a email message sent to the drop with the file attached. -
Inappropriate?No Problem!

Inappropriate?I dunno if this fits with the topic request, but I noticed that the RSS, when viewed in the browser, presents a redundant link: The subject of a given asset is a link, and at the bottom of the text is a link directly to the asset. I'm not sure if most RSS readers get that double link but it might be worthwhile to consider making that bottom link optional.
I’m wondering if I'm going to feel like an idiot when someone says we can already do this.
