Three Excellent Ideas to Make drop.io Even Better
drop.io is excellent. Our group's primary use is collaboration surrounding notes and comments. I have three improvements that would help all of us immensely:
1. Allow the drop organizer to automatically subscribe people to drop updates. Requiring my drop users to subscribe themselves is one more technical challenge they don't need. I can subscribe them and not have to explain the process. As the drop manager, this gives me the assurance that everyone receives an update.
2. Instead of a simple, bland email notification of a drop update, please include the note or comment that was posted in the body of the email notification. As it is, users must visit the drop to read the new content. This is inefficient.
3. Provide the ability to respond to a note or comment within the notification email. This would make group communication much more streamlined. Consider the ability to reply by email (using a mobile device, for example) to someone's new drop note. Magic!

Inappropriate? Before finding this, I just posted another note equivalent to your point #2. Agreement on others.
I believe all of these can be programmatically via the API. Like most interesting ideas here, I doubt there would be demand for a third-party offering to actually make that happen.
