Inappropriate?I have had problems with shipping from drugstore.com also. In my case, the problem turned out to be with their "shipping department." It wasn't until after the fact that I received a second shipment plus and email saying the problem was on their end.
I wish they would take a look at the problem instead of just assuming the problem lies with the shippers they use. I sort of solved the problem by specifiying shipment by U.S. Postal Service only. You have to place your order a few more days before you need the product, but you DO get it.
If you don't get an email from drugstore.com, informing you that your order has been shipped and their online order tracking says it's been shipped, contact them but still be prepared to wait.
Bad systems and lax customer serivce. Sad to see them go downhill this way.
I’m just reporting

Inappropriate? My family did not receive Christmas gifts even though I ordered four days before drugstore.com's Dec. 19 cut-off date for arrival by Dec. 24 (still on its website today). Looks like it took 6 days to get to the shipper. Very disappointed.
I’m mad.

Inappropriate?I also had a similar issue with ordering and shipping from drugstore.com. They do not claim responsibility for lost packages easily, and I even had to call 4 times to reach a supervisor to finally get "signature required" comment on the shipping so that I could get an order delivered safely to my apartment complex. The most disappointing was when the first Customer service rep told me to knock on all of my neighbors doors in my apartment complex. I actually started to do so, then realized that was inappropriate. Overall, terrible customer service. My only recommendation is to order at your own risk, because that is what it was like for me.
I’m disappointed

Inappropriate? After much frustration from the auto-responder and Hot-Key replies from overly busy humans, I finally called the drugstore.com telephone number. I asked him to take a look at how long I had been a customer, which has been since the very beginning. Since he was able to see that I didn't have a record of doing anything that would suggest that I was trying to scam drugstore.com, the experience was VERY satisfactory.
The company could use some improvement in the tone of their auto-responder messages and the Hot-Key replies but, otherwise, honesty begets honesty. Sometimes speaking to a real person is the only way to get real satisfaction. That could be streamlined if the automated replies, either human- or machine-generated, had a more customer-friendly tone.
Not all honest customers will take the time to call the company, but will simply take their business elsewhere. All local businesses that carry the products available at drugstore.com are in dire need of maintaining and, possibly, growing their customer base.
Drugstore.com may be an online leader, but they are by no means the "only game in town."
I’m Very happy
