Drupal for NPO / Charities
I'm really keen to use Drupal for Non Profit network but seems many people are advising Joomla instead.
Apparently Drupal is not easy to setup or maintain?

Inappropriate?I'm setting up Drupal to run civiCRM, a contact manager that's available on both Drupal and Joomla.
I can't compare the learning curves. I have put up a couple websites on Drupal but haven't put them up yet. It takes a while to find your way around. We may buy a template so we have something that works to start with.
Do you plan to run a CRM package, build community websites, both?

Inappropriate? If you want a community site: drupal, if not: joomla is an option as well. Setup is easy, I would say, in drupal, lots of out of the box functionality, if you have exotic wishes sometimes a bit work

Inappropriate? From what I can tell, Drupal seems to be getting easier to use between each version, although it is powerful and needs some extra work, depending on what you're trying to do. I'd try both, though.

Inappropriate? If you want to produce something fairly simple, then Joomla should be fine for you. However, if you get to the point of producing a more complex site then you may start to find restrictions.
Drupal is somewhat more complex to start using (though as Tyson says it is getting easier), but has fewer limits when you want to do more.
